I am a writer, maker, and scientist. 

I work as a writer, creating stories around my passion for science and science fiction. Turning my thoughts into words helps me to explore facts, concepts, and beliefs.

As for the maker part, I draw, sculpt, and build a variety of art and design projects. Whether a simple sketch or a novel electronic device, I am inspired by the creative process. These "experiments" often tie into whatever I am writing about at the time.

No matter how I create - in words, pencil, or parts - the process helps me see with new eyes. 

The renowned science fiction writer Arthur C. Clarke wrote, "The only way of discovering the limits of the possible is to venture a little way past them into the impossible." I like to think of my writing and making as pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
